The programme

What is NORMAL?

Theatre as a NORMAL path.
For the Arts, the Health, for Everyone.

Three paths, one practice. This is NORMAL.

An open question

NORMAL was born from the desire to turn theatre into a real space of encounter, expression and participation — a place where the word “normality” no longer defines who we are, but becomes an open question: who decides what is normal?

A theatre programme that regenerates

NORMAL is a theatre programme that regenerates, reintegrates and raises awareness through participation, training and social-political advocacy. In this way it becomes a practice able to concretely ease today’s global health challenges across its three macro areas: Inclusion, Advocacy and Welfare.

A Sustainable Health programme

NORMAL is a Sustainable Health programme, and it includes three converging dimensions.

One

Acting & Directing

The artistic and educational dimension of acting — for stage and screen — and of direction. Work rooted in the physical technique of Jacques Lecoq, where gesture, movement and physical presence become language before words, interwoven with the emotional and introspective depth of the Strasberg method and the Stanislavski approach, which ask the performer to draw on their own inner truth and return it on stage. An actor’s path that moves fluidly between theatre and cinema, training the ability to adapt energy, breath and presence to the different codes of the two languages. Guiding this work is a direction that thinks in images and bodies at once: theatrical in its care for scenic composition and its living relationship with space, visual in its cinematic sensibility for framing and rhythm — two gazes that merge to give each performer back the fullness of their own uniqueness, beyond every label.

Two

Teaching & Coaching Welfare

The dialogue with the world of coaching and corporate welfare, called to recognise inclusion not as an act of charity, but as a cultural and human investment capable of generating shared value — inside and outside the company.

Three

Inclusion & Advocacy

The area of inclusion and advocacy in its widest sense, embracing a range of fragilities — from illness to disability — giving each person back the right to be the protagonist of their own narrative, honouring every single uniqueness and restoring expressive dignity to those too often seen only through the filter of a diagnosis.

Three different roads converging in one direction: making normality not a border, but a common horizon.
