Beginnings
I came to theatre the way some people come to prayer — quietly, and then all at once. A school stage in Rome, the smell of old curtains, a teacher who saw me before I saw myself. I have never really left that room. I just kept enlarging it.
Twenty years across borders
From the London International School of Performing Arts to ISTA festivals across three continents, from IB MYP classrooms in Hong Kong and Bangkok to ensemble residencies in Italy and the UK — two decades of teaching performance as a living, intercultural language. I have worked with teenagers preparing their first monologue and with company actors preparing their hundredth.
Inclusion as practice
At Teatro Patologico in Rome and beyond, I learned that the stage is widest when it makes room for the bodies, minds, and stories the world too often edits out. Inclusion is not a programme I deliver. It is the lens through which I rehearse, teach, and listen — every day.
The unseen dimension
Theatre, for me, is also inner work. A discipline of attention. A way of meeting the parts of ourselves that only emerge under stage light. I keep returning to long walks, silent retreats, and small village stages because they remind me what the work is finally for: to bring a person more fully into their own life.
